Okay, so I know I said I was going to start weaning Luke off the paci. I really was. But.....
Yesterday when I was suctioning out his nose (such a glamorous mommy job) I noticed we are FINALLY getting some more teeth in there. He's had these 6 teeth for about 8 months now with no sign of new ones. While he was screaming like I was sticking knives up his nose I was able to get a good look at those gums. I'm pretty sure there are at least two that are a few days away from breaking through. What kind of mother would I be if I took away his one thing of comfort in such a time of need? Okay, maybe it's not his one thing of comfort, there is still Puppy, Puppy, and me. Yes, he has two different lovies both with the names Puppy. Let's not delv into my lack of creative naming at this point. I thought about switching one to the name "Doggie" so that he would have Puppy and Doggie, but I keep forgeting to make the switch. Eh. I don't think he'll be scarred for life. Like he would be if I took away his paci while teething.

Mommy's are supposed to be softies sometimes! That's your baby!! :)
My youngest was 2 1/2. We were on vacation. Took the pacy and never gave it back. Only took about a day to break. I think we were using it more as a crutch than she was. Good luck...especially with one that's teething...I'd wait a bit:)
