Did you catch that?
I was cold.
On our way to practice I swung by the house and picked up Evan a pair of tights and shoes to put on her, since it didn't warm up like I thought that it would. She already had on her little onesie with her name on it and her denim skirt, so I grabbed a pair of stripped tights and her boots. It led to an outfit that looked like this.
How cute is she?
And the boy....I was so proud of him during practice. When I picked him up from Cindy's things didn't look too promising. He didn't want to go. He didn't want to put on his shin guards. He didn't want to do anything. But Cindy saved the day by letting him pick out a Gatorade from the fridge (he picked Teagen's [her high school aged son] favorite color so it was doubly special) and he got to take that with him.
(Luke is in the orange shirt)
When we first got there he was a little unsure. He stood in the field and attempted to throw a little fit. But one more drink of Gatorade cured that and he was ready to go. He actually participated! Threw the ball in, kicked it around, stayed with the kids....I was so glad that this week went a ton better than last week. Tomorrow morning is the Striker's first game, so we'll see how it goes. I just keep telling him "stay with the kids son. Just stay with the kids." That's all I really ask.
