while Shae and I pushed these little 'uns.
We also tried to get a good picture with our big boys, but this was as good as it got on my camera.
There were hot dogs, lemonade, pop corn, bouncy houses, and an awesome magician. Take that awesome with a grain of salt. We only lasted 45 minutes or so due to the extreme heat, and then we walked back to their house to play in the sprinkler, but that didn't last long either. Luke turned into Mr. Grumpy Pants so I deemed it nap time. After nap time I took the kids over to Mom and Dad' for a classic hamburger meal. Then the five of us piled into their car to meet back up with the Raymonds to watch fireworks. While we waited for nightfall we had fun with the blanket and camera.
There was a group photo taken, just not on my camera. It was a good hour and a half of hanging out before the show got going, but they took it all in stride. Very fast strides. They played chase, they rolled around, they put their heads on the ground to be "upside down". Ha!
FINALLY, the fireworks started. They were great! I was thrilled to be with Luke at his first fireworks experience. He hates loud noises so I was unsure how it would go over, but he loved it. It was 11:30 by the time we got home, cleaned up, and in bed. Luke was zonked after running so much and staying up WAY WAY past his bed time!
