MIA

I think this is this longest break from writing I've ever taken.  Okay.  That I've taken since last May.  That I can remember.  But that's neither here nor there.

Sunday night my small group had a Super Bowl party.  I had the best time sitting in the couch visiting and not watching one stitch of football.  Luke did really well playing with all of the kids....he only had to get time out three times!  He's developed quite an art to the temper tantrum.  At one point he was standing at the coffee table trying to steal someone else's coke (this is after grazing off of several adult's plates, eating their chips, cookies, and lemon bars).   I told him no, so he looked at me with pouty eyes, side stepped a few paces away from the table to an open area, and did this controlled fall to the ground and started rolling around.  Awesome.

Yesterday I had a dentist appointment to get my crown placed over the implant, but it didn't fit.  The dentist even tried to GRIND DOWN the metal implant to help it fit better.  Have you ever had metal attached to your head grinded?  Let me tell you, I would rather give birth again than do that.  It was awful.  And I still have to go back in two weeks to *fingers crossed* get the new crown.

This morning Luke's ECI supervisor (not case worker) came out to review his goals and set new ones.  I was suprised to see that he met most of the goals we had set six months ago!  Whoo hoo!  Then I took him to get a hair cut (he looks super cute) and then spent the whole day at Niki's house.  When we got home I gave him a snack to hold him over till dinner, and this happened.

Okay, so you can't really tell from this picture, but there was key lime pie flavored yogurt everywhere.  And applesauce.  Everywhere.  Then he threw away his spoon to "clean up".

Ekk. This tooth ordeal does not sound pleasant. I hope it all gets fixed up just right.
