The Carvers Carve

Today Luke and I carved our pumpkin. Don't worry. I didn't get an over priced one at the pumpkin patch the other day, I bought a $5 one at the grocery store. Luke pretty much had zero interest in carving a pumpkin. In fact, he wanted nothing to do with the gooey mess that is the inside of a pumpkin. It may have had something to do with the fact that I "killed" the pumpkin.
"Daddy, what is Momma doing to that thing?"
"Ewwww....get it off, get it off! I don't like that slimy stuff."
"What the....get off of me you flower. I just want to be left alone!"
All in all, it was not the quaint family experience I was picturing in my head. There's always next year! The only other thing we did today was we went and got Luke his first flu shot. They FINALLY got them in, and we get to go back for 2 more- one is the follow up to this shot in 4 weeks and the other is the H1N1 whenever they get a shipment in. Since Luke has reactive airways he got bumped to closer to the top of that list. Asthma has to be useful for something! As I type this I have Luke in the bath. Cody was feeling a little blue tonight, so I told him I would take him to dinner. Tomorrow is Sunday, so he had to get his weekly bath before off to Grandmother's for the evening! Just kidding. He gets a bath every night.

Ha! Those pictures are funny. Maybe next year he'll be more interested. Because, seriously, the Carvers HAVE to Carve.
